Next, head to Robert’s Grocery in the heart of Wrightsville Beach to buy your beer, a cooler, ice, fried chicken, and pimento cheese. You won’t eat this now, this is your must have party rations for your long day on the boat. Oh…and get the chicken salad, it’s known nationwide!

An absolute must is the trolley stop for hot dogs. This place is an absolute diet breaker, but well worth it. You’re having a Wrightsville Beach dog, a North Carolina dog, and 2 SURFERS WITH NO MUSTARD…yes, that’s 4 hot dogs. LOCAL TIP: Get in line no later than 11:30 am, otherwise you’ll be like for an hour and a half!

See if you can hitch a ride to Masonboro Island, the ultimate Local Surf Spot only accessible by boat. Careful, there are sharks! But on the other side of the island, the ultimate boat party rages almost daily.
